I’ve Seen the Light

Posted by: prehistoric rocket science on: October 6, 2008

I never cared that McCain took $112,000.00 in contributions from Charles Keating and was given a pass by his colleagues nearly twenty years ago. My problem was that he said he learned his lesson from that mistake, and championed finance reform; which sounds good, but in reality, meant nothing. The lesson I wanted him to learn was that, sometimes, a little bit of regulation can actually be a good thing. From the Savings and Loan crisis to Enron, to the present economic tsunami we’re in, McCain still doesn’t get it. So, why am I voting for him?

Barack Obama was right when he said that people are bitter about the abject failure of Washington to solve any of our serious woes. And since I’ve watched no other news outlet except FOX NEWS, since MSNBC decided to become the Tina Fey Network, my eyes have been opened. I know wrapping Bill Ayer’s around Obama’s neck is patently illogical, since every politician worth his salt has rubbed elbows with folks who see the world differently than mainstream Americans. But logic has no place in politics, especially the sort we practice in the land of the free.

The only question voters want answered is: Are you tough enough? McCain, Palin and the rest of the Rick Davis’ crew certainly are pretty bad-ass. Democrats don’t do the politics of fear and division nearly as well…

I have no idea what is going on in your head. I’ve never frankly seen a more schizophrenic blogger since I started reading blogs. Your logic on this is simply missing. Perhaps a valium would help.

Valium may be needed by somebody? White flag of surrender, shining city on the hill, get the government out of our way? Let the voters decide!!!

Satire, folks.

Gotta love the Fox News nymph, oh my bad, wrong ad, tee, hee, hee. 2 smears in one live shot. I’m sure it’s not a record.

McCain has always been about McCain. He is a beaten old man and he is damn angry. He felt entitled to the nomination of his party, which he finally got and now feels that he is entitled to the Presidency. The only position that will better the achievements of his father and grandfather’s positions of Admiral.

This is almost sad to watch, however he has run a campaign of complete smears and has been nothing but condescending toward the voters so he deserves to lose. This most recent debate, despite Brokaw bending over backwards kissing McCain’s butt, has made it clear that McCain is slipping a lot. Anyone watching the debate would be hard pressed to call it a draw much less a win for McCain.

At this stage we can only hope that Americans are ready to shed the Republican party and maybe start a few more that can send a message to Washington. It’s time to take back our government and get it to work for all Americans instead of just that elite 1%.

I told my husband nearly the exact same thing last night. McCain is pissed off that he’s being upstaged and outshined by a rookie senator. He feels he’s entitled to the Presidency because it’s somehow his turn.

It’s George Bush he has to blame for ruining his chances, not Barack Obama.
