Dancing With Fire

Away

Obviously, my history with certain individuals in the progressive movement are, shall I say, “strained”. I refuse to be anyone’s puppet. If that makes me a little less popular, then, so be it. Here’s a few of my more memorable quotes:

“The moment you tell someone you love them you give them the power to break your heart.”

“A politician is someone who can convince you that stealing candy from a baby is good for the country.”

“We all breathe the same air, drink the same water and will be buried in the same ground. Who among us, then, is superior?”

“The only thing more scary than a politician running around kissing babies is a politician running around promising to cut taxes.”

“Wisdom is a gift only time can unwrap.”

“A conservative wants the guy on welfare to pull himself up by his bootstraps. A liberal wants to give the guy a pair of boots.”

“Truth is more subjective than you might think.”

“All politicians are liars but not all liars are politicians. Some of them are used-car salesmen.”

“And the rich get fatter, licking their greasy lips as the price of gas goes up again…”

To be continued!

“A conservative wants the guy on welfare to pull himself up by his bootstraps. A liberal wants to give the guy a pair of boots.”

A liberal wants to give the guy a pair of boots, but only if he agrees to sacrifice some of his liberty in exchange for votes so liberals can give everyone boots.

A conservative will provide the optimal environment with which to put on his boots that are acquired at an affordable cost thanks to the free market.

The deregulated free market that gave us four dollar a gallon gas.

The four dollar a gallon gas that came about because liberals won’t let us tap our own resources, instead opting to keep us dependent on foreign oil.

Not so. Production levels are currently at 85%, there’s plenty of supply, and demand is down anywhere between 5 to 11%, depending on whose numbers you’re using.
Speculators betting on futures is the reason we’re paying so much, and that’s only possible due to deregulation.

When the boy Bush took office, gas was $1.46/gallon. Ah… free markets. Why do we ship all the US oil to other countries and then buy oil from OPEC? Ah… free markets.

The biggest lie that liberals tell is that we currently have free, unregulated markets.

The regulations on industry take up thousands of pages. Industries are subsidized and taxed and regulated like crazy. So many alphabet-soup agencies monitor them and fine them, that the workers can hardly go to the bathroom without permission.
